Your First Wax Visit

It’s perfectly normal to feel a little nervous before your first wax visit or to be unsure on how to prepare your skin for it. We have you covered! We want you to have a wonderful experience with us, so we’ve broken down the things you should know to get the most out of your appointment. Your waxologist will also be happy to answer any questions you may have and will walk you through the process every step of the way.

How to Prepare

Hair Length

Aim for hair a bit longer than a grain of rice. Trim at home if you’re comfortable, but if not, don’t worry – we can also trim if needed prior to starting the service.

Exfoliate

Gently exfoliate 24 hours before your visit to help remove dead skin and prep your skin for smoother results.

Skip Lotions & Oils

Avoid applying anything to the area on appointment day.

Shower

Arrive feeling fresh and ready!

What To Expect During Your Appointment

  1. Consultation: Your Waxologist will review your consent form and chat about any health considerations.
  2. Guidance: You’ll get clear direction on which clothes to remove—no awkwardness, just professionalism.
  3. Cleanliness: We use gloves, never double dip, and maintain clinically clean standards.
  4. Custom Wax: We select one of our three proprietary waxes for your service—tailored just for you.
  5. Steps to smooth: We’ll walk you through every step, from prep to aftercare. With any wax service from the neck down, you’ll also finish with our signature AHA serum to help prevent ingrowns.

After Your Wax

  1. Membership Perks: Ask us about our Smooth Society membership for exclusive savings!
  2. Post-Care: Avoid heat, friction, and workouts (gym, sauna, steam) for 24 hours.
  3. Home Care: Continue exfoliating and hydrating (wait 24 hours before exfoliating) - this keeps skin smooth and reduces ingrowns.
